About this course
In this summer holiday studio you design your very own picture book! Together we invent stories and turn them into pictures that we print ourselves at the Krumulus print studio. At the exploratorium we play with language, tell stories, rhyme and dream up characters, worlds and exciting adventures. Using plotting techniques and storyboards we develop our stories step by step – whether animals, people or fantasy creatures.
At the Krumulus print studio you get to know different printing techniques: we make our own stamps from various materials, experiment with shapes, lines and patterns and print with colour on paper. At a printing press we pull our images several times and reproduce them for our book. At the end you bind your artwork into a real picture book using a simple bookbinding technique – and of course you get to take it home.
Good to know
The course takes place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at exploratorium berlin, and on Tuesday and Thursday at the Krumulus print studio (Südstern 4, 10961 Berlin) – in cooperation with the Krumulus print studio. Led by Julia Dorsch & Sofia Burchardi. Course language German; an English translation is possible. Register via the form by 6 July.
